I'm not much of a gamer either, but you should really check out Portal. It's a first person puzzle game, and it's the best experience I have had with a game in as long as I can remember. And if you're really determined, you can beat it in 3 hours or less (which I would consider a huge plus, as it won't eat up entire days). Pretty much everything about it is perfect. Without giving too much away -- it's worth the time investment. It definitely plays with the notion of the ultimate goal a lot. Also, thanks for that Wikipedia randomizer link!
