Many people think I am too serious and respectable to be playing with LEGOs. THEY ARE WRONG!!!
I have always loved LEGOs since I was a kid. I used to have a lot of them. I was in Orlando a few weeks ago and I went to the LEGO store in downtown Disney. It was amazing!
I had a LEGO car building contest with my 10 year old cousin today. It was a lot of fun. LEGOs are a good creative outlet for me. We were at this for several hours. I am a perfectionist, and I had to search for all the right colored pieces in a large and disorganized LEGO box. My cousin built a race car and I built an offroad buggy.
Here are the results (mine is on the left and his is on the right):
I was all about adding the maximum number of lights to my car, even on the bottom. Lights really spruce up any LEGO creation in my opinion. I kept telling my cousin “I need more lights!” and “you can never have too many lights!” in total, my car had 33 lights.
After I got home, my cousin sent me an email informing me that he beat my record. He built a helicopter with 35 lights. The email said that the record was beaten at exactly 9:06 pm and this picture was attached as proof:
Even though I lost, I still enjoyed the competition. I don’t own any LEGOs anymore. It makes me want to buy some. (hint: this would be a good gift idea for me)
