I generally have a lot of things going on at any given time. I can be my own worst enemy in this area, but I also think that it has a lot to do with my success. I just try a lot of different things, and if they don’t work out then I try something else. I want to have as many income streams as I can realistically manage. I will try and chronicle some of these endeavors in more detail on my blog.

I have my Real Estate license as well as my license to sell Life Insurance, but right now, I have not been spending much time on these activities since I just don’t have enough time to do anything with them.

I am focusing on originating commercial loans. The company that I work with provides products that many banks do not offer. We specialize in small commercial and mixed-use buildings from $200,000 to $2,000,000. We can lend on gas stations, laundromats, auto repair centers, small office buildings, etc. My company is hiring loan originators, so if this is something you may be interested in doing also, talk to me about it.

I am a landlord, but managing my property doesn’t take up much of my time. Every once in a while I’ll have to evict someone or someone will move out and I’ll need to do some minor renovations, but I have been enjoying it so far.

I had been looking into purchasing a laundromat, but after looking at several of them in the area, I decided that the profit margin that I had anticipated was not there. I put that on hold. Right now I am in the process of buying several vending businesses in my local area. My plan is to combine them into one and continue to run the business part time. I am sure that I will be writing about this on my blog once I get some experience and have something to say about it.

Public speaking as been an interest of mine as of late. I am a member of the Achievers Club of Toastmasters International. I have been getting experience as a speaker and giving inspirational speeches both in Toastmasters and outside of Toastmasters. People have asked me if I plan to speak professionally. I hadn’t given it much thought, but anything’s possible! Check out my speaking page for recordings of speeches I have given and let me know what you think.

My blog takes up a bit of my time also. I have been working on becoming a better writer and I have been getting a lot of practice! My plans for my blog are ambitious. I am working on creating a large content base of articles that will help me establish my credibility on the topics that I choose to write about. I have been working on promoting it also, and getting more subscribers. It’s working! I have been seeing steady growth since I started my blog project back in December of 2007.
